The following is a list of Error that www4mail may return to you. Error 204 --------- The server was able to access the remote Server, and file but the file in question was empty. Solution - Try to get in touch with the site administrator. Error 400 --------- The server could not make out any request for a document in your mail message. Note, that if you make 10 or 20 (10% of the Quota Limit) syntax errors within a quota period, the server will automatically disable your quota, you will have to try again during the next quota period. Solution - Please confirm the syntax of the command(s) and the request. See help Error 401 --------- This page or document requires a login name and password or some other form of authorisation code. Solution - Try to find out if you need a login name & password Error 403 --------- This means that the URL(s) is listed in the Access Control List of the www4mail server. Solution - Forget it. Error 404 --------- The remote server does not exist. There is no DNS entry for the remote server. Solution - Check that you got the right site or host name. Error 405 --------- This is actually used to mean one of two different states 1. The path to the file is wrong 2. The remote server is very busy and cannot answer our request Solution(s) Check the path and file name Try again later in the day. Error 408 --------- This error means that the amount of time allocated for porcessing your e-mail message has been exhausted. This error may have been caused by a site (The URL is indicated) that is slow to access. Solution(s)- Retry your request(s), sending one request per mail. Error 413 --------- The size of the requested file is larger than the allowed limit. Solution - Try ftpget Error 500 --------- The server could not start or locate the right helper application, it needs to fufil your request. Usually the local www4mail Administrator would be automatically notified by the server. Solution - If the error persists try to get in touch with the www4mail Administrator. Error 501 --------- The computer that www4mail is running on has run out of resources (memory), usually this is a temporary failure. It could happen when the machine has too many requests to process, there is a limit to the number of processes, one machine can handle at once. Solution - Try to send your request again later. Error 503 --------- You ran out of quota. The server will inform you of the the right date to retry your request. The server will not answer you again after sending you an error 503.
