www4mail Server Technicalities
Navigate and search the whole Internet via e-mail by using any standard Web browser and
a MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Exchange) aware e-mail program.
Even if at a first glance it can be seen as another Web-to-Mail
gateway (e.g., Agora and Getweb),
www4mail introduces new features not available before ("The Next Generation").
For example www4mail allows to query any available databases (like Nuclear Databases, Altavista,
HotBot) Journals and Preprints repositories with one simple e-mail -output in minutes.
It was intitially developed to support researchers
from developing countries having slow Internet links (say below 64K).
Today it is open to anyone, anywhere and at any time free of charge.
